Privacy Policy for VCF2Sheet

Last updated: 6th October, 2026

VCF2Sheet (“the App”) is a contact-file conversion and management application.

This Privacy Policy explains how VCF2Sheet handles information when you use the App.

VCF2Sheet is designed with a privacy-first approach. Contact files and contact information used for conversion, cleaning, organization, and export are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to VCF2Sheet servers.

However, the App uses third-party services for advertising and advertising-consent management. Those services may process certain device and usage information as described below.

1. Information VCF2Sheet Processes

VCF2Sheet can work with contact information contained in files that you explicitly select, including:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Company and organization information
  • Job titles
  • Addresses
  • Groups or categories
  • Other supported vCard/contact fields

The App may also process contact information that you explicitly choose to import from your device’s address book.

Contact data stays on your device

VCF2Sheet processes contact information locally on your Android device.

Your contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, and other contact records are not uploaded to VCF2Sheet servers.

The App does not operate a cloud account or require you to create an account in order to use its contact conversion features.

2. Files You Choose to Open

VCF2Sheet uses Android’s file-selection mechanisms to allow you to choose files for processing.

Depending on the feature you use, the App can process:

  • .vcf / vCard files
  • .csv files
  • .tsv files
  • .xlsx Excel files
  • Files generated by the App, including PDF and ZIP exports

The App does not require broad access to your device’s general storage for normal file conversion.

Instead, the Android system file picker allows you to select the specific file or destination that you want the App to use.

Your other personal files, photographs, documents, and storage are not scanned simply because VCF2Sheet is installed.

3. Device Contacts

Some VCF2Sheet features allow you to read contacts from your Android device or write converted contacts to the device address book.

These features are optional and are initiated by you.

When a feature requires access to device contacts, Android may ask you to grant the relevant Contacts permission.

VCF2Sheet uses contact information obtained through these features only to provide the functionality you requested, such as:

  • Exporting contacts from your device
  • Converting contact information
  • Importing converted contacts into your device address book

Device contact information is processed locally by the App and is not uploaded to VCF2Sheet servers.

You can decline contact access and continue using features that do not require access to your device address book.

Google Play treats contacts as personal and sensitive data, so the App’s contact-access behavior is disclosed here and in the App’s permission flows. (Google Help)

4. Local Contact Processing

VCF2Sheet performs contact parsing, cleaning, organization, and conversion on your device.

Depending on the operation, the App may perform tasks such as:

  • Parsing vCard files
  • Converting VCF to CSV, TSV, XLSX, or PDF
  • Converting supported CSV, TSV, and XLSX files back to VCF
  • Detecting and reviewing duplicate contacts
  • Cleaning and formatting names
  • Normalizing phone numbers
  • Fixing international dialing codes
  • Removing empty or unwanted contact information
  • Extracting company information from supported email addresses
  • Splitting and recombining names
  • Selecting, reordering, or renaming export columns
  • Preparing large exports in multiple files or ZIP archives

These operations are performed locally on your device.

5. Temporary Processing

Contact records may be held temporarily in the App’s working memory while an operation is being performed.

VCF2Sheet is designed to process contact information locally rather than sending contact records to a remote server.

Temporary contact-processing data is not intentionally maintained as a cloud contact database or uploaded to VCF2Sheet servers.

However, files that you explicitly export or save are naturally retained wherever you choose to save them, such as your device storage, Downloads folder, cloud storage provider, or another location selected through Android’s file picker.

6. Recent Export Information

VCF2Sheet may locally save basic information about recent exports so that the App can provide its recent-export functionality.

This may include information such as:

  • Export filename
  • Export file location
  • Number of contacts exported
  • File size
  • Export date/time
  • Export format or delimiter

This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to VCF2Sheet servers.

You can use the App’s available controls to remove individual recent exports or clear the recent-export history.

Important: Clearing an export record from VCF2Sheet does not necessarily delete the actual exported file from your device. Exported files must be deleted from the location where you saved them.

7. Advertising

VCF2Sheet may display advertisements, including rewarded advertisements.

The App uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising.

Because advertising is provided by a third-party service, Google may process certain information from your device or your interaction with advertisements.

According to Google’s documentation for the Google Mobile Ads SDK, the SDK may automatically collect or share information such as:

  • IP address
  • User interactions with the App and advertisements
  • Diagnostic information
  • Device and account identifiers
  • Advertising identifiers, where applicable

This information may be used for purposes including advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google states that data collected by the Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. (Google for Developers)

VCF2Sheet does not provide your contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, or contact-file contents to its advertising system.

The App’s privacy design specifically isolates contact processing from advertising functionality.

8. Advertising Consent

VCF2Sheet uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage advertising consent where required.

Depending on your location and applicable privacy requirements, you may be shown an advertising-consent or privacy-options interface.

In regions where additional privacy choices are required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, advertising privacy choices can be managed through the App’s privacy controls.

Advertising functionality is gated by the applicable consent state.

You can also review Google’s information about how its advertising services process data through Google’s own privacy documentation.

9. Rewarded Advertisements

VCF2Sheet may offer a rewarded advertisement that provides temporary access to additional functionality.

For example, the App may allow a user to watch a rewarded advertisement to unlock an expanded export allowance for a limited period.

The App stores the local expiration information necessary to provide this functionality.

The rewarded advertisement itself is supplied by Google AdMob and is subject to Google’s advertising and privacy practices.

10. App Lock and Biometric Authentication

VCF2Sheet optionally supports an App Lock using Android biometric authentication or device credentials such as a PIN.

When enabled, the App uses Android’s security mechanisms to require authentication before accessing protected App content.

VCF2Sheet does not receive or store your fingerprint, face data, biometric template, or device PIN.

Authentication is handled by the Android operating system and supported device security mechanisms.

11. Information VCF2Sheet Does Not Collect

VCF2Sheet does not operate a VCF2Sheet cloud account or contact database.

The App does not intentionally upload your contact files or contact records to VCF2Sheet servers.

In particular, VCF2Sheet does not intentionally collect on its own servers:

  • Contact names
  • Contact phone numbers
  • Contact email addresses
  • Contact files
  • Your exported spreadsheets
  • Your exported PDF files
  • Your vCard files

The App also does not sell your contact information.

Google Play’s User Data policy prohibits the sale of personal and sensitive user data and requires developers to clearly disclose how such data is accessed, used, and shared. (Google Help)

12. File Sharing

When you choose to share an exported file, VCF2Sheet uses Android’s standard sharing mechanisms.

You control which application or service receives the file.

For example, you may choose to share an export through:

  • Email
  • Cloud storage
  • Messaging applications
  • Another file-management application
  • Another application installed on your device

Once you intentionally send a file to another application or service, that application’s privacy policy and practices apply.

VCF2Sheet does not control how another application handles a file after you share it.

13. Third-Party Services

VCF2Sheet uses third-party services necessary for certain functionality, primarily:

Google Mobile Ads / AdMob

Used to provide advertisements, including rewarded advertisements.

Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may process device and advertising-related information as described in Google’s documentation. (Google for Developers)

Google User Messaging Platform

Used to obtain and manage advertising privacy consent where applicable.

These third-party services may change their data practices over time. Their own privacy policies and documentation govern their processing of information outside VCF2Sheet’s control.

14. Data Security

VCF2Sheet is designed to minimize unnecessary transmission of contact information.

Contact conversion and processing are performed locally on your device.

Where third-party advertising services transmit information, those services use their own security mechanisms. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. (Google for Developers)

You are responsible for protecting your device, exported files, and any files you choose to share with other applications.

15. Data Retention and Deletion

VCF2Sheet does not maintain a cloud database containing your contacts.

Contact records processed for conversion are intended for the local operation you requested.

Local App preferences and metadata may remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the App. This can include settings, export-history metadata, review preferences, and App Lock preferences.

Exported files remain wherever you choose to save them until you delete them.

If you want to remove locally stored VCF2Sheet information, you may:

  1. Clear available recent-export history from within the App.
  2. Delete exported files from your device or their chosen storage location.
  3. Clear the App’s data through Android settings.
  4. Uninstall VCF2Sheet.

Because VCF2Sheet does not maintain your contact data on VCF2Sheet servers, there is generally no VCF2Sheet cloud contact account to delete.

Third-party services such as Google may retain information according to their own policies and retention practices.

16. Children’s Privacy

VCF2Sheet is a general-purpose contact and file-conversion application.

It is not specifically designed for children.

VCF2Sheet does not knowingly request children to provide personal information to VCF2Sheet servers.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy, please contact us using the information below.

17. Your Choices

Depending on the feature you use, you can:

  • Choose which files VCF2Sheet can access.
  • Decline optional device-contact permissions.
  • Choose whether to import contacts into your device address book.
  • Choose which columns to export.
  • Delete recent-export records.
  • Delete exported files from your device.
  • Enable or disable App Lock.
  • Manage applicable advertising/privacy consent choices.
  • Uninstall the App.

Advertising and consent choices may also be affected by Android and Google settings.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy when VCF2Sheet’s functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or data practices change.

When the policy is updated, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be changed.

You should periodically review this page for the latest information.

20. Google Play Compliance

This Privacy Policy is intended to describe VCF2Sheet’s current privacy practices and support the App’s Google Play privacy disclosures.

Google Play requires developers to maintain accurate Data Safety information and ensure that the privacy policy and in-app disclosures are consistent with the app’s actual data practices, including relevant third-party SDK behavior. (Google Help)

If VCF2Sheet’s functionality, advertising SDKs, permissions, or data practices change, this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration should be reviewed and updated accordingly.
